The CSA and volume of solid cylinder are 4553cm^3 and 56912.5cm^3.Find TSA.​

To Find

  • TSA

Solution

CSA of cylinder = 2πrh

⇒ 2πrh = 4553 cm²

⇒ rh = 725 ... (1)

Now ,

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

⇒ πr²h = 56912.5

⇒ r²h = 18125 ... (2)

Now , Divide (2) by (1) , we get ,

⇒ r²h / rh = 18125 / 725

r = 25 cm

Sub. r value in (1) , we get ,

⇒ (25) h = 725

h = 29 cm

TSA of Cylinder ,

2πrh + 2πr²

⇒ 2πr ( h + r )

⇒ 2π ( 25 ) ( 29 + 25 )

8478 cm²
