Answer:

Height (h) = 14 cm

Curved surface area (2πrh) = 88 cm2

Then, 2πrh = 88 cm2

⇒ 2 × 22/7 × r × 14 = 88 cm2

⇒ 88r = 88

⇒ r = 88/88 = 1 cm

volume of cylinder = πr^2h

=22/7× 1×1×14

=44cm^3

Given :

  • CSA of cylinder = 88 cm²
  • Height of cylinder = 14cm

To find : Volume of cylinder

Formula used :

  • CSA of cylinder = 2πrh
  • Volume of cylinder = πr²h

Solution :

CSA = 2πrh

=> 88 = 2× π × r × (14)

 \sf \: 88 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 14 \times r \\  \\  \sf \: 88 = 44 \times  \frac{14}{7}  \times r \\  \\ \sf \: 88 = 44 \times 2 \times r \\ \\ \sf \: r \:  =  \dfrac{88}{88}  = 1

Volume = π (r²)h

 \sf \: Volume \:  =  \dfrac{22}{7}  \times ( {1}^{2} ) \times 14 \\  \\  \sf \: Volume \:  = 22 \times  \frac{14}{7}  \\  \\  \sf \:  Volume \:  = 22 \times 2 \:  = 44 {cm}^{3}

ANSWER : Volume = 44 cm³
