The cult of Ram bhakti was popularized by Guru Nanak Singh. He was the first Guru of Sikh and he also founded Sikhism.

He was a bhakti saint hence he started the Bhakti Movement.

He genuinely believed that the most important way or the best way of worshiping anyone is to have bhakti. Bhakti translates to belief over someone without any doubt.
