• according to the question , we should calculate the total resistance in the circuit.
R1 = 4 ohm
R2 = 3 ohm
R3 = 6 ohm
V = 12 v
in the above diagram it is able to clearly identify that,
R2 and R3 are parallel to each other therefore ,
1/ R = 1 / R2 + 1 / R3
1 / R = 1/3 + 1/6
1 / R = 3 / 6
implies,
R = 6 / 3
R = 2 ohm
this R ( 2 ohm) is connected in series with the R1 resistor, therefore,
the total resistance of the circuit is
R ( total) = R1 + R
R(total) = 4 + 2
R( total) = 6 ohm.
therefore, the total resistance is equals to
6 ohm.
