Answer:

5400 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Circumference of base = 180 cm

Circumference = 2πr

Height = 30cm

Lateral surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

= 180 cm × 30 cm

= 5400cm²

Given :-

  • The circumfarense of base of a cylinder is 180cm and its height is 30 cm.

To find :-

  • Lateral surface area of cylinder

Solution :-

  • Circumference of base = 180cm

  • Height of a cylinder = 30cm

As we know that

→ Circumference of circle = 2πr

Where " r " is radius

  • According to the question

→ Circumference of base = 180cm

Now,

→ Lateral surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

Where " r " is radius and " h " is height

So,

Lateral surface area of cylinder

→ 2πrh

→ circumference of base × height

→ 2πr × h

  • Put the value of circumference

→ 180 × 30

→ 5400cm²

Hence,

  • Lateral surface area of cylinder is 5400cm²
