Ram Nath Kovind was born on 1st October 1945 in Paraunkh, United Provinces, British India.

He served as a lawyer for 16 years in Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court before entering into politics.

From 1994 to 2006, he served as a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha.

He served as the 26th Governor of Bihar from 2015 to 2017. He is an Indian politician who is serving as the 14th President of India since 2017.
