The area of a rectangle is length x height, so height is area/length

If you open the curved surface of a cylinder, you get a rectangle whose length is the circumference of one end.

In this case the length is 44cm and area 528sq cm so :-

height = 528sq cm/44cm = and you shouldn't need a calculator for that! Divide top and bottom by 4cm as, if you know the rules for divisibility, both are obviously divisible by 4, giving 132cm/11cm or 12cm.
