Answer:

given,

Curved Surface area of a Cylinder = \sf 1000cm^{2}

Radius of its Base = 21cm

To Find :-

Total Surface area of a Cylinder.

Formulas Required :-

1) Curved Surface area of a Cylinder = \sf 2\times \pi\times r\times h

2) Total Surface area of a Cylinder = \sf 2\times \pi\times r(r + h)

= \sf 2\times \pi\times r^{2} + 2\times \pi\times r\times h

=  \sf 2\times \pi\times r^{2} + C.S.A

Where,

r = Radius of the Base

h = height

Solution:-

Substituting value of C.S.A , radius in Formula of T.S.A :-

T.S.A =( 2\times\frac{22}{7}\times (21cm)^{2}) + (1000cm^{2})

T.S.A = (2\times \frac{22}{7}\times 441cm^{2} )+(1000cm^{2})

T.S.A = (2\times 22\times \frac{441cm^{2}}{7} ) + (1000cm^{2})

T.S.A = (2\times 22\times 63cm^{2}) + (1000cm^{2})

T.S.A = (2772cm^{2}) + (1000cm^{2})

T.S.A = 2772cm^{2} + 1000cm^{2}

T.S.A = 3772cm^{2}

\therefore Total \:Surface\:Area\:of\:Cylinder = 3772cm^{2}
