the curved surface area of a cylinder is 4400 cm sq and the circumference of its base is 220 cm sq. Find the total surface area and volume of a cylinder.

Circumference= 2*pi*r
220=44/7=r
220*7/44=r
35=r

radius is 35 cm

-)now,

curved surface area= 2*pi*r*h
4400=44/7*35*h
4400=220h
4400/220=h
20=h

height is 20cm

-)now we have,

radius=35cm
height=20cm

total surface area of a cylinder= 2*pi*r(r+h)
TSA=220(35+20)  {I wrote 220 because we found it earlier(circumference)}
TSA=220*55
TSA=12100cm^2

Volume=pi*r^2*h
V=22/7*35^2*20
V=22/7*1225*20
V=22*175*20
V=77000cm^3
