Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

The curved surface area of a cylinder of height 20 cm is 1760 .

To find:-

Find its volume.

Using formula:-

  • Curved surface area of a cylinder=2πrh sq.units
  • Volume of the cylinder=πr²h cubic units

Solution:-

The height of a cylinder(h)=20 cm

Curved surface area of the cylinder=1760 cm²

=>2πrh=1760

=>2(22/7)r(20)=1760

=>r=(1760×7)/(2×22×20)

=>r=1760×7/880

=>r=2×7

=>r=14 cm

radius of the cylinder=14 cm

Volume of the cylinder=πr²h cubic units

=>(22/7)×14²×20 cm³

=>(22×14×14×20)/7 cm³

=>22×14×2×20 cm³

=>880×14 cm³

=>12320 cm³

Answer:-

The volume of the cylinder is 12320 cubic cm

Given:

Curved surface area of a cylinder =1760

Height of cylinder=20cm

To Find :

Volume of the cylinder

Formula used here :

\bold{\red{\boxed{Curve\: surface\: area \:of \:Cylinder=2\pi \: rh}}}

\bold{\pink{\boxed{Volume\: of\: Cylinder=\pi {r}^{2} h}}}

According to the Question:

\pi \: rh = 1760

 =  > 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times r \times 20 = 1760

 =  >  \frac{44}{7}  \times r =  \frac{1760}{20}

 =  > r =  \frac{1760}{20}  \times  \frac{7}{44}

 =  > 88 \times  \frac{7}{44}  = 2 \times 7 = 14cm

Hence ,radius of the cylinder is 14 cm

Finding volume of cylinder:-

\pi {r}^{2} h =  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {(14)}^{2}  \times 20

 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 196 \times 20

 = 22 \times 28 \times 20

 = 28 \times 440 =   {12320}^{3} cm

Therefore,volume of the cylinder is 12320 cubic.cm
