the curved surface area of a right circular cylinder of height 14 centimetre is 88 centimetres square find the diameter of base of the cylinder

CSA of cylinder= 88cm²
height of cylinder= 14cm
2 \pi rh=88
2×22/7×r×14=88
r=88/88
r=1 cm.
diameter = 2r
               = 2×1
               =2 cm.

diameter of the base is 2 cm.

it is given CSA = 88cm
h = 14cm

substitue them in the formula we get,

2π r *14 = 88

2 * 22/7 * 14 * r = 88
44 * 2r = 88
2r = 2

we know that 2r = diameter.
thus ,the diameter of the cylinder = 2cm.

Height h = 14 cm

We know that,

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

88 = 2πr * 14

2πr = 88 / 14

r = 88 * 7 / 14 * 2 * 22

r = 1 cm

Diameter of base = 2r

= 2 * 1

= 2 cm Ans.

Ans.) The diameter of base of the cylinder is 2 cm.
