ANSWER:
- Diameter of the cylinder = 2 cm.
GIVEN:
- C.S.A of cylinder = 88 cm².
- Height = 14 cm
TO FIND:
- Diameter of the cylinder.
EXPLANATION:
C.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh
Radius = r
Diameter = d = 2r
Height = 14 cm
2πrh = 88
d = (7 × 88) ÷ (22 × 14)
d = 4/2
d = 2 cm
HENCE THE DIAMETER OF THE CYLINDER= 2 cm.
SOME MORE FORMULAE:
- C.S.A of cone = 1/3πrl [ Here l is the slant height and ]
- C.S.A of sphere = 4πr²
- C.S.A of hemisphere =2πr²
- Voulme of cone = 1/3 πr²h
- Voulme of cylinder = πr²h
- Volume of sphere = 4/3 πr³
- Volume of hemisphere = 2/3 πr³
