Given :-

  • Height of right circular cylinder = 14 cm
  • Curved surface area = 88 cm²

To find :- Diameter of the base.

\large\bf\underline\blue{SolutioN:-}

Formula for Curved surface are:-

\large\red{\underline{{\boxed{\textbf{C.S.A\:of\: cylinder \:=\: 2πrh}}}}}

In which C.S.A is curved surface area , r is Radius and h is height.

Now , Substitute the values in above formula.

→ 88 = 2 × 22/7 × r × 14

→ 88 = 88 × r

→ 88 / 88 = r

→ 1 cm = r

So, Radius of right circular cylinder is 1 cm

We know that

\large\bf\blue{D \: = \: 2r}

In which D is diameter of base and r is Radius.

  • Put Radius is formula.

→D = 2 × 1

D = 2 cm

Hence diameter of base is 2 cm.
