Answer:

Given , The height of cylinder =14cm

and , the curved surface area of cylinder =88cm2

we know that ,

the curved surface area of cylinder =2πrh

and 2r=d

here , r=radius of cylinder , d=diameter of cylinder and h=height of cylinder

so , the curved surface area of cylinder =πdh =88cm2

π×d×14=88

22/7 ×d×14=88

d=2cm

so, the diameter of the cylinder is 2cm.

Hope this is helpful for you.

Answer:

Height (h) = 14 cm

Curved surface area (2πrh) = 88 cm2

Then, 2πrh = 88 cm2

⇒ 2 × 22/7 × r × 14 = 88 cm2

⇒ 88r = 88

⇒ r = 88/88 = 1 cm

Then diameter = 1 × 2 = 2 cm
