Solution:-

Given:-

  • Curved Surface Area(C.S.A) of the right circular cylinder = 88 cm^{2}.
  • Height of the right circular cylinder = 14 cm.

To Find:-

Radius of the base of the right circular cylinder.

Assumption:-

Let, Radius be r.

Formula:-

C.S.A  \: of \: the \: cylinder = 2\pi \: r \: h

Diameter = 2 × Radius

By the Problem:-

C.S.A  \: of \: the \: cylinder = 2\pi \: r \: h \\  \\  \implies \: 88 = 2\pi \: r \: h \\  \\  \implies \: 88 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{ \cancel7}  \times r \times  \cancel{14}\\  \\  \implies \:88 = 88 \times r\\  \\  \implies \:r =  \frac{88}{88} \\  \\  \implies \:r = 1 \: cm

So, Diameter = (1 × 2 ) cm = 2 cm
