Given :-

  • Shape = Cylinder
  • Curved Surface Area = 880cm²
  • Height of Cylinder = 28c

To Find :-

  • Radius of the Cylinder

Solution :-

⟼ ⠀⠀C.S.A of Cylinder = 2πrh

⟼ ⠀⠀880 = 2 × 22/7 × Radius × 28

⟼ ⠀⠀880 = 2 × 22 × Radius × 4

⟼ ⠀⠀880 ÷ 2 = 22 × Radius × 4

⟼ ⠀⠀440 = 22 × Radius × 4

⟼ ⠀⠀440 = 88 × Radius

⟼ ⠀⠀ 440 ÷ 88 = Radius

⟼ ⠀⠀ 5cm = Radius

_______________

Verification :-

⟶ C.S.A of Cylinder = 2πrh

⟶ 880 = 2 × 22/7 × 5 × 28

⟶ 880 = 2 × 22 × 5 × 4

⟶ 880 = 44 × 20

⟶ 880 = 880

Given:

Height = 28 cm

CSA = 880 m²

To calculate radius.

⇒Let r be the radius

Curved surface Area = 880 cm²

⇒2πrh = 880

⇒2πrh = 880

⇒r = (440×7)/(22×28)

⇒r = 3080/616 = 5

Radius = 5 cm
