Given :

  • Height of cylinder = 14cm
  • CSA of cylinder = 88cm2

To Find :

  • Radius of the cylinder

Solution :

CSA of cylinder = 2πrh

⟹ 88 = 2 × 22/7 × r × 14

⟹ 88 = 44 × 2 × r

⟹ 88 = 88 × r

⟹ Radius = 1cm

Verification :

CSA of cylinder = 2πrh

⟹ 88 = 2 × 22/7 × 1 × 14

⟹ 88 = 44 × 2 × 1

⟹ 88 = 88

∴ Radius of cylinder is 1cm

  • Height of the Cylinder = 14cm

To Find :

  • Radius of the Cylinder

Solution :

⠀⟶⠀CSA of Cylinder = 2πrh

⠀⟶⠀88 = 2 × 22/7 × r × 14

⠀⟶⠀88 = 2 × 22 × r × 2

⠀⟶⠀88 = 2 × 22 × 2 × r

⠀⟶⠀88 = 2 × 44 × r

⠀⟶⠀88 = 88 × r

⠀⟶⠀88/88 = r

⠀⟶⠀1cm = r

∴ Radius of the Cylinder is 1cm
