As we know that,

Curved surface area of a cylinder = 2πrh

 = > 440cm = 2 \times 22 \div 7 \times r \times 14

 = > r = (440 \times 7) \div (2 \times 22 \times 14)

 = > r = 5cm

So, the base radius = 5cm...

Given:
CSA=440cm sq.
therefore 2πrh=440cm sq.
height=14cm
so, 2×22/7×r×14=440
88r=440
r=5cm
