Question :–

The curved surface area of cone is 528 sq cm. If slant height of cone is 21cm, then radius of the base is.

Given :–

  • Area of cone =  {528 \: cm}^{2}
  • Height (length) = 21cm

To Find :–

  • Radius of the base.

Solution :–

Curved surface area of the cone = 528

→ πrl = 528

 \sf \dfrac{22}{\cancel{7}} \times r \times \cancel{21} = 528

 \sf 22 \times r \times 3 = 528

 \sf r = \dfrac{528}{22 \times 3}

 \sf r = \dfrac{\cancel{528}}{\cancel{66}}

 \sf r = \dfrac{\cancel{176}}{\cancel{11}}

 \sf r = 16

Hence,

The radius of the base is 16cm.
