Given that,

The curved surface area of cylinder =1760 cm2

The volume of cylinder=24640 cm3

Height of cylinder h=?.

We know that

The curved surface area of cylinder =2πrh=1760

⇒π r h=880

The volume of cylinder =πr2

h=24640

⇒πr²h=24640

⇒π r h×r=24640

⇒880×r=24640

⇒r=28 cm

Now,

putting the value of ′r ' in 2πrh=1760

⇒2 π×28×h=1760

⇒h= 5 6 π=1760

⇒h= 56\1760× 22\7

⇒h=10cm

Hence the height is 10cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

8gm Methane and 2gm of hydrogen and mixed and kept at 760 mm pressure at 273 K

To Find :-

Total volume

Solution :-

Finding moles first

For methane

\bf\pink{No. \; of \; mole = \dfrac{Total \; mass}{Molar \; mass}}No.ofmole=

Molarmass

Totalmass

\sf No. \; of \; moles = \dfrac{8}{16}No.ofmoles=

16

8

\sf No. \; of \;moles=\dfrac{1}{2}No.ofmoles=

2

1

\sf No. \; of \;moles = 0.5No.ofmoles=0.5

For hydrogen

\sf No.\;of\;moles=\dfrac{2}1No.ofmoles=

1

2

\sf No. \; of \;moles = 2No.ofmoles=2

Now

\bf PV=nRTPV=nRT

\sf 1 \times V = 2.5 \times R \times 2731×V=2.5×R×273

\sf V = 682.5V=682.5
