Since the rectangle that is formed when the cylinder is cut in half has a width of 35 centimeters, this means that the diameter of the circle on top and bottom is also 35 centimeters long. This means that the radius is 17.5 centimeters. Using this information and plugging it into the formula for the curved surface area of a cylinder you get the height to be 39.81 centimeters. Now having the height and width, we just multiply them by 2 and add them getting 149.81 centimeters in perimeter.

Given,

curved surface area of a hollow cylinder = 4375 cm²

By cutting it from the height,

It becomes a rectangular sheet whose width = 35 cm

So, the height of cylinder = 35 cm

And, length of sheet = Area/Height

= 4375/35

= 125 cm

Hence, Perimeter of the sheet = 2(l + b)

= 2 × (125 + 35)

= 2 × 160

= 320 cm
