Hey

Given that :-

CSA = 264 m²

2 * pie * r * h = 264 ––– ( i )

And ,

Volume = 924 m³

pie * ( r ) ² * h = 924 –––– ( ii )

Now ,

eq ( ii ) is divided by eq ( i ) , we get

pie * r * r * h / 2 * pie * r * h = 924 / 264

=> r / 2 = 924 / 264

=> r = 924 / 132

=> r = 9 [ 924 / 132 = 7 ]

So ,

radius = 7 m

Now ,

2 * pie * r * h = 264

=> 22 / 7 * 7 * h = 132

=> 22 * h = 132

=> h = 6 m

Height of piller = 6 m

thanks :)

Let r be the radius and h be the height of the cylinder

\color{red}{2πrh=264m^....(1)}

Also given volume of the cylinder=964

\color{violet}{πr^h=924m3}

\color{rose}{Divide the equation (2) by equation (1)}

Thus we have

\color{blue}{πr^h/2πrh = 924/264 = 7/2}

\color{orange}{r/2 = 7/2}

2r=14

r=14/2

=7

2πrh=264

2×22/7×7×h

=264/2×22

=h=6
