Answer:

2 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

here's ur answer...

Given:

the height of the cylinder is 14cm.

CSA of the cylinder=88cm²

therefore,

2πrh=88cm²

Solution:

→2×22/7×r×14=88cm²

→44×r×2=88cm²

→r×2=88/44

→r×2=2

→r=2/2

→r=1cm

verification:-

CSA of cylinder=2πrh

=2×22/7×1×14

=44×2

=88cm²

thus the radius of the cylinder is 1cm.

we know diameter is double of radius therefore diameter is=2×1

=2cm is the answer.

GIVEN :-

  • Curved surface area of right circular triangle is 88 cm².
  • Height of right circular cylinder is 14 cm.

TO FIND :-

  • Diameter of right circular cylinder.

SOLUTION :-

Curved surface area = 2πrh

➣ 88 = 2πrh

➣ 88 = 2 × 22/7 × r × 14

➣ 88 = 44/7 × r × 14

➣ (88 × 7)/44 = r × 14

➣ 14 = r × 14

➣ r = 14/14

r = 1 cm.

Hence radius of right circular cylinder is 1 cm.

Diameter = 2r

➣ 2 × 1

➣ 2 cm

Hence the diameter of right circular cylinder is 2 cm.

EXTRA INFORMATION :-

➵ Area of base of cylinder = πr²

➵ Circumference of base of cylinder = 2πr

➵ Total surface area of cylinder = 2πrh + 2πr²

= 2πr (h + r)

➵ Volume of cylinder = πr²h
