Answer :

Time taken by cyclist to complete a round = 2 min

Radius of circular path = 105 m

We have to find speed of cyclist.

★ Speed is defined as the ratio of total distance travelled to the total time taken.

It is a scalar quantity having only magnitude.

It can't be negative or zero.

SI unit : m/s

After completing one round of circular path, distance covered by cyclist will be equal to the perimeter of circle.

Distance travelled :

➝ d = 2πr

➝ d = 2 × 3.14 × 105

➝ d = 659.4 m

Speed of cyclist :

➝ v = d / t

➝ v = 659.4 m / 2 min

➝ v = 659.4/120 m/s

v = 5.5 m/s
