Dalkhai is a folk dance which was originated in western Odisha.
It is generally performed on festivals such as Bhaijiuntia, Nuakhai, Phagun Puni etc.
It is referred to Dalkhai because at the starting and ending of every stanza the words are used to address a girlfriend.
The theme of this dance is Radha and Krishna, Ramayana etc.
