Answer :- The 'dancing histogram' works because it represent continuous data set.

The dancing histogram is interactive stacked histograms.

A stacked histogram allows :-

1) Proportion of each category within column

2) Trends on the total height of the columns

3) Trends in the lowest category

Inter-column comparisons and trends for any other category is very difficult as the blocks are at different heights.

The dancing histogram solves this by allowing different trends to be analysed using the dynamic graph.
