We should respect our elders and we should alwys take care of thema and we should never give money more inportance then our elders in this story the two daughters of abel were fighting for his property and they didnt even went to see there fathers dead body. By this we got to know that in todays tym people give money more inportnace then there relations. Hope it help

The dear departed is a family based drama that reflects the height of materialism in society. it gives the message that humanity has been disappearing with time and now people are no more sentimentally attached to their loved ones and are only interested in their materialistic belongings. they have forgotten the true essence of living together as a family and that life is about how much you can give, share and receive in a relation and how much you can love and respect the ones who were always there for you....
this is my opinion... i think the dear departed gives us a message to revive humanity and grasp every moment of love you can share with your loved ones.
