The reasons for economic hardships in Europe in the 1830s were:
1) fewer employment opportunities in the country. People were seeking jobs but there weren't plenty of jobs and this caused a higher rate of unemployment.
2) competitive products from England were a hardship for small-town producers and English producers used advanced machines for such production.
3) overcrowded urban areas weren't of much help either as people from rural areas started migrating to cities.
