♧ Answer ♧

◇ Given,

Deceleration = -1 m/s²

u = 20 m/s

t = 5 sec.

v = ?

As, we know that

a = v-u/t

-1 = v-20/5

-5 = v-20

-5+20 = v

15 m/s = v (Answer)

◇ Given,

u = 20 m/s

v = 0 ( it is given that it comes to rest)

a = -1 m/s²

t = ?

As, we know that

a = v-u/t

-1 = 0-20/t

-t = -20

t = 20 sec.(minus got cancelled out)

t = 20 sec.(Answer)
