D = 11000m

Speed of sound = 1500m/s

v = 2d/t

=> 1500 = 22000/t

=> t = 22000/1500

t = 14.6

Answer:

5. The deepest part of the oceans in our world is the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean which is 11.033 metres deep. If you were on a ship above this trench and send a sound signal straight down to the water, how long will it take for the echo to reach you? (Speed of sound in water 1500 m/s).
