x+y+z=180(sum of angles of triangle)
x+y=180-z

z=x+y/2
2z=x+y
Since, x+y=180-z,
2z=180-z
2z+z=180
3z=180
z=180/3
z=60

I hope this helps!

Tomboyish44: Dude, how did you get x + y/2 in the 3rd step ?

Answer:

Value of z = 60°

Explanation:

Given x,y and z are three angles of a triangle.

and

 z = \frac{x+y}{2}

2z = x+y ---(1)

We know that,

x+y+z=180°----(2)

/* Angle sum property */

=> 2z+z = 180° /* from (1)*/

=> 3z = 180°

=> z = 180°/3

=> z = 60°

Therefore,

z = 60°
