1 Commercial farming is practised on a large scale production. Because these crops are selled in market
2 Higher production of crop demands for a huge number of labours and also new technology and machinery is used .HYV seeds, fertilizers pesticides etc are also used in this kind of farming.

the degree of commercialization varies from place to place ... a particular crop may be a subsistence crop for one region and but the same crop may be a commercial crop for the another region...
for example :rice is a commercial crop in Punjab and Haryana but in Odisha it is a subsistence crop
second example : wheat wheat is a commercial crop in Punjab and Haryana but it is a subsistence crop in Madhya Pradesh
