Roger Sherman created The Connecticut Compromise. It was also known as the Great Compromise of 1787 or Sherman Compromise.
The delegates of the states with higher population wanted a larger representation in the Senate based on their population whereas states with smaller population opposed it as this would lead to dominance of larger states . In order to do away from this mismatch the smaller states with less population proposed for equal representation irrespective of one`s population. To avoid this chaos Roger Sherman came up with the Great Compromise of 1787.
As per this agreement each state would be given the number of seats in proportion to its population in the House of Representative whereas in the Senate every states would be assigned with the same number of seats irrespective of their population.
