let numerator be x
let denominator be x+2
fraction = x/(x+2)
(x+5)/(x+2) = x/(x+2) +1
(x+5)/(x+2) - x/(x+2) =1
(x+5 -x)/(x+2)= 1
5/(x+2) = 1
5 = x+2
5-2 = x
x=3
The fraction is 3/5

Answer:

Let the numerator be x and the denominator will be x+2.

According to the question

x+5/x+2=1+(x/x+2 )

(x+5)=(x+2)+x

5−2=2x−x

x=3

Therefore the fraction is 3/5
