Answer:

Let the fraction be = x/y

Given:

y = 2x - 1 ..(1)

To find:

(x + 3)/(y + 7)

=> (x + 3)/(2x - 1 + 7)

=> (x + 3)/(2x + 6)

Take 3 common from the denominator:

=> (x + 3)/3(x + 3)

(x + 3) cancel:

=> 1/2

Thank You!
