Step-by-step explanation:

The denominator of the fraction is 1 more than double the numerator.

let the numerator be x

therefore,

x/2x+1

on adding 2 to the numerator and subtracting 3 from the denominator , we obtain 1

hence,

x+2 /2x+1-3 =1

x+2/2x+1-3 =1/1

1(x+2) = 1(2x+1-3)

x+2=2x+1-3

3-1+2=2x-x

4=x

therefore, the original fraction is 4/2(4)+1

4/9
