Answer: Let numerator be x.

Accoriding to condition 1:   x/2x + 1 __ (I)

Condition 2:      x + 2/ (2x + 1) - 3 = 1

∴ x + 2/ 2x + 1 - 3 = 1

∴ x + 2/ 2x -2 = 1

∴ x + 2 = 2x - 2

∴ 2x - x = 2 + 2

∴ x = 4

∴The numerator is 4 and denominator is (2 x 4) + 1= 9
