Answer:

let the numerator be x

=>denominator is 1+2x

fraction = x/(1+2x)

after given conditions

=>(x+4)/(3+2x)=6/7

=>7x+28=18+12x

=>5x=10

=>x=2

original fraction is 2/5

ALTERNATIVE METHOD

let numerator be a

=> as given, a+4=6 =>a=2

let denominator be b

=> as given, b+2=7 =>b=5

so, the original fraction is a/b=2/5
