the denominator of a fraction is 1 more then twice its numerator. if the numerator and denominator are both increased by 5, it becomes 3/5 . find the original fraction.

 \huge\bold\purple{Δn᥉wꫀr}↓

\bold{let \: numerator \: be \: ❝x❞}

Then denominator will be 1 + 2x

⠀⠀⠀

 \bold{when \: both \: used \: by \: 5}

\huge  \bold{\frac{x + 5}{5 + 1 + 2x} } = \bold{ \frac{3}{5} }

 \huge \bold{ \frac{x + 5}{6 + 2x}  =  \frac{3}{5} }

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀5x + 25 = 18 + 6x

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀26 - 18 = 6x - 5x

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀7 = x
