let the numerator of the fraction be x

denominator=x+2

fraction=x/x+2

if 1 is added

fraction=x+1/x+3

which is equal to 3/2

x+1/x+3=3/2

2x+2=3x+9

x=-7

x+2=-7+2=-5

fraction=-7/-5=7/5
