let the fraction be x/y

then , y = x+2 .............[a]

then x+1/y+1 = 2/3

=> 3[x+1] = 2[y+1]

=>3x+3 = 2y + 2

=>3x+3 = 2[x+2] + 2                       [from a]

=>3x+3 = 2x + 2 + 2

=>3x - 2x = 4 - 3

=>x = 1

therefore , x = 1 , y = x+2 = 1+2 = 3

fraction = x/y => 1/3
