Let the numerator be x. Then,
A.T.Q , x + 5/x + 3 + 5 = 4/5
x + 5/x + 8 = 4/5
5(x + 5) = 4(x + 8)
5x + 25 = 4x + 32
5x - 4x = 32-25
x = 7
Hence, numerator= 7
and denominator= 7+3=10
Therefore, fraction= 7/10

hope it helps u

Let the fraction be x/y
A/q,
x+3 = y ------ (1)
and,
x+5/y+5 = 4/5 ------ (2)
So, from eq. 1 n 2 ,
x+5/x+8 = 4/5

Cross multiplication,
5x + 25 = 4x + 32
x = 7

So, in eq 1,
x+3= y
7+3 = y
y = 10

So, Fraction = 7/10
