Let the fraction be x/y

A/Q -->
x + 3 = y

So the fraction now becomes,
x/y = x/(x + 3)

Now,
x + 2 / x + 3 + 5 = x + 2/x + 8

But it is given that the new fraction is equal to 1/2

So, x + 2/x + 8 = 1/2
2(x + 2) = x + 8
2x + 4 = x + 8
x = 4

The fraction is x/x + 3 = 4/ 4 + 3 = 4/7

Hope This Helps You!
