Answer:

If the numerator is x then

The denominator is 3 more than the numerator=x/x+3

If 2 is added to the numerator and 5 is added to denominator=x+2/x+3+5

x+2/x+8=1/2

x+2=1/2×x+8

x+2=1/2x+4

x-1/2x=4-2

2x-x/2=2

x/2=2

x=2×2

x=4
