Let the numerator =x

Fraction would be x/x+3

If 2 us added to numerator and 5 us added to denominator therefore fraction would be become

x+2/x+8=1/2

2 (x+2) = x+8

2x+4=x+8

2x-x = 8-4

x= 4

Hence the required answer is 4/7
