hiii!!

here's ur answer...

ATQ, the denominator of the fraction is 3 more than the numerator.

let the numerator of the fraction be x.

therefore denominator of the fraction is x + 3

if 5 is added to both the parts then the resulting fraction is equivalent to 4/5

therefore x+5/x+3+5 = 4/5

==> x+5/x+8 = 4/5

==> 5 ( x + 5 ) = 4 ( x + 8 )

==> 5x + 25 = 4x + 32

==> 5x - 4x = 32 - 25

==> x = 7

hence, numerator = x = 7 and denominator = x + 3 = 7 + 3 = 10

final answer = 7/10

hope this helps..!!

hey mate! here's your answer!
let x be the numerator.
so, denominator = x + 3
if,

 \frac{x + 5}{x + 3 + 5} = \frac{4}{5}

 \frac{x + 5}{x + 8} = \frac{4}{5}

5(x + 5) = 4(x + 8) \: \: \: \: \: \: \: (by \: cross \: multiplication)

5x + 25 = 4x + 32

5x - 4x = 32 - 25

x = 7

so, numerator= 7 and denominator= x+3= 7+3= 10

thus, fraction= 7/10

hope it was helpful!
