Let the numerator = x
then denominator = x+3
Fraction is x/(x+3)

if 5 is added thenn
new numerator = x+5
and denominator = x+3+5 = x+8

According to question...
(x+5)/(x+8) = 4/5
on cross multiplying
5x + 25 = 4x + 32
5x - 4x = 32 - 25
x = 7

Numerator = 7
then denominator = 7+3 = 10

hence, required fraction is 7/10
