Let the numerator be x. Therefore, denominator=x+3. A. T. P.,  (x+5) ÷ (x+3+5)=4÷5 =(x+5)÷(x+8)=4÷5 =5(x+5)=4(x+8) =5x+25=4x+32 =5x-4x=32-25 =x=7(ans)
