Let the numerator be x
then denominator = x + 4

if we increase numerator by 7 and decreased denominator by 2,
x + 7/ x + 4 - 2 = 2
x + 7 /x - 2 = 2
x = 2(x-2) - 7
x = 2x - 11
x - 2x = - 11
- x = -11
x =11
11+ 11 + 4 = 26
Hence the sum is 26
