Answer: Numerator =3.

Denominator=7.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the numerator be x.

Then, the denominator is x+4.

After increasing,

Numerator will be x+2 and denominator will be x+9.

Given,

(x+2)/(x+9)=5/12

By cross multiplyind,

12(x+2)=5(x+9)

12x+24=5x+45

12x-5x=45-24

7x=21

x=3

So numerator is 3.

And, denominator is 3+4 = 7.
